Muse of all muses
I've seen you calling for the sun, and it appeared behind surly clouds
I've heard you howling for the wolves, and they gathered around you
There were days in last January that you stole the moon
And you buried it in some field not far from here
I've seen the oceans dancing as you pleased
I've seen the northern wind, half-drunk, singing for you
I've seen men of the south losing their minds as you walked beside them
I've seen priеsts of the north losing their faith as you walked bеside them
I've seen you playing with thunder with your bare fingers
While I wrote you poems

You're an eternal being
You've had plenty of other lovers, but you always say
That you love my company and rotten verses
But will it be enough ?
I heard Death is in a neighbor village
I'm afraid it'll come for me soon
And what will become my verses then ?
Because you'll find better verses than mine
A better writer than I
A man younger stronger, braver than I !
A man which Death will seemingly never know
And you'll forget about me
That you'll stop visiting me after a month or so in the underworld
Then I'll ask everyone that I meet if they ever saw you
Perhaps you forgot the number of my room
Perhaps you were looking for me
But I doubt you were, and I doubt you'll ever do
Then I'll lose my mind as the men of the south
I'll lose my faith as the priests of the north
I'll lose sense of time

Perhaps it is a sin to be born a mortal
Or is it a sin to fall in love with an immortal ?
