My Epic - Wildflowers
How long can you hold this position?
If you try and lose the nerve, you don't need to be ashamed
Some things don't fit well in words
But they shrink when you can name them
Out in the open
End of the road
We'll find where the light rests and follow it home
I will meet you where the wildflowers grow
Daylight, don't shy from the brilliance
How does it look out in the open?
No show, no smoke
It's illusion if it only glows in the neon
It's too much to hold at first
And you're gonna break your back
Always needing to be sure
Only armed with holding fast
Out in the open
End of the road
We'll find where the light rests and follow it home
I will meet you where the wildflowers grow
New light, eyes wide you see it?
Your hand in mine you feel it?
Sometimes things die conceiving
You're still alive and breathing
New light, eyes wide you see it?
Your hand in mine you feel it?
Sometimes things die conceiving
Old skin, new wine
New light, eyes wide
(out in the open)
(out in the open)
Out in the open
End of the road
We'll find where the light rests and follow it home
I will meet you where the wildflowers grow
(I will meet you)
(I will meet you)
