Verse 1: Queen Drie
There comes a time in a man’s life
You got to go and get it
And the training wheels is off
You either riding or you down with it
Face down in it
It a be unfortunate if its a puddle
You gon drown in it
Is you getting the message
Fuck repeating it
Influencers of bullshit
Fast notoriety
Poisonous society
Prisons at capacity
Hand selecting all these fiends, taking our culture
Flip it and use it against us
Lose your life a young age to drugs, you a legend

Chorus: Queen Drie
How the U.S. got the biggest prison system
Think about it
How they take a culture sexualize it then weaponize it
How they take our struggles tie em to record labels
Monetize it
How they claiming ‘erybody that made it Illuminati
Think about it reflect on it
It hurt don’t it
Now think about it reflect on it
It hurt don’t it
Now think about it reflect on it
It hurt don’t it
Now be about it uh

Verse 2: Queen Drie
They making 20K a year off each black man that’s in there
If you not in there they a have yo homies put you on a t-shirt
Guns in the hood up it till you can’t breathe air
Analytical, financial, psychological warfare

Bridge: Queen Drie
If it’s hurting y’all don’t show it
The media they control it
Brutal blunt force they bullies still we let them control it
Putting guns in the projects
Killing of the prophets
Rest up Pac, Nipsey and Malcolm X uh

Verse 2b: Queen Drie
How many times we gotta tell y’all ‘fore y’all listen up
How many times they gotta kill us ‘fore we wisen up
Talk shows blog posts Judas of our own
How much a dollar really cost?
Enslaved to the paper
Enslaved to the vapor
You huff it then you puff it
Don’t even love your neighbor how you gonna love the maker
Don’t even love yourself say black ain’t beautiful
Stop all the coonery clown shit buffoonery

Bridge: Queen Drie
If it’s hurting y’all don’t show it
The media they control it
Brutal blunt force they bullies still we let them control it
Putting guns in the projects
Killing of the prophets
Rest up Pac, Nipsey and Malcolm uh

Chorus: Queen Drie
How the U.S. got the biggest prison system
Think about it
How they take a culture sexualize it then
Weaponize it
How they take our struggles tie em to record labels
Monetize it
Now they claiming everybody that made it Illuminati
Think about it reflect on it
It hurt don’t it
Said think about it reflect on it
It hurt don’t it
Said think about it reflect on it
It hurt don’t it
Now be about it uh

Queen Drie, a relatively new Hip Hop and Rap artist, started creating music to contribute positively to art and black culture. Her songwriting and performing goal is to motivate and educate people about what it means to be Black and help alter their lives for the better.
Despite having such a set goal, Queen Drie’s music is made for everyone. This is why she self-categorizes it in a genre called “World.” As an artist who was born in Accra, Ghana, and now lives in Chicago, she knows a thing or two about different experiences, and her music reflects that.

Drie’s tracks are calm and refreshing, maintaining a vibe that’spositive yet punchy. Her fans love the sound of her arrangements while also the weight of her lyrics. The fact that there are so many people out there who love Rap with poignant lyrics motivates her to continue writing about real-world experiences.

Drie’s fans can get a taste of what her music’s all about through her song, Homosapien. This song explores and questions the human condition and experience in fresh ways while giving a beat to groove to.
Despite being new in the industry, this artist has performed live at the Summer Jam, hosted by 2wo Offishall, and “A Night with Pablozy,” held by the Nigerian artist Pablozy. While she’seager to get back on stage again, Drie’s currently focusing on developing her craft by exploring new and exciting sounds.
