Sophia Fracassi - Christmas All Over Again

Copied!edit Lyrics

House 79
First time putting up lights
Then we’re taking a drive in the snow
Pink dollhouse for me
Hiding under a sheet
Sort of kindness that just overflows

Brunch in the basement
It’s getting so loud
But your life’s gonna change, kid
So take it for now

And somehow it’s Christmas all over again
Till it’s over again and again

Sharing a mattress on the floor in mom’s room
Cause nobody wants to sleep alone
For now we’re one down so my own little brother
Puts the star on the tree since he’s grown

And somehow it’s Christmas all over again
Till it’s over again and again
Thank god that it’s Christmas all over again
Till it’s over again and again

When I was floating, you anchored mе down
And when I was sinking you stopped me from drowning
I fеlt so alone but you’re just like an old friend
Thank god that it’s Christmas all over again

Cars on the road cause he’s finally home
And it feels like it’s never felt before
For all the mistakes that we made
It’s a beautiful mess like the wrapping on the floor

Cause somehow it’s Christmas all over again
Yeah, somehow it’s Christmas all over again
Thank god that it’s Christmas all over again
Try it over again, again

Thank god that it’s Christmas all over again

Biography

edit bio
Sophia Fracassi has always turned to music to ride out life’s storms. The Canadian singer and songwriter is just 17 years old, but her voice is calm and confident, indicative of someone who has dedicated her whole life to her art. Her lyrics come from exactly where she is: in the middle of trial and error. On stripped back, evocative songs like “Wish I Never Met You”—her first single since signing to Coalition Music last summer—she offers listeners the same kind of safe haven music has been for her.

Taking inspiration from icons she’s long admired, like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift, Sophia wrote about what she knew. The intensity of a first love – and the heartbreak that came with it – helped gift her the perspective she is now repurposing in her music as she broaches adulthood and chases her dreams. “It’s important to realize life can go in many different directions,” she says. “Sometimes plans don’t happen as intended.” After years of these kinds of revelations, she is no longer the little girl craving to emulate her peers, nor the teenager helplessly in love. Sophia Fracassi wants to be fully herself, and for her music to be a vessel for the empathy and empowerment she holds so close to her heart.
