Logan Matthew Barnes - December Bird

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/900453
Verse 1
Sounds of sirens slash through silenced night
Streets shake from the sudden dash of light
A single bird’s wings scrape the sky
She’s taking off, she’s learning how to fly

Verse 2
December bird is flitting toward the sun
She’s thinking all her days are all done
But she couldn’t be more wrong
Lift her up, she drags herself to dust

Verse 3
Don’t fly melting away
Don’t fly with that broken wing
It will take you all day
And soon it will be spring

Bridge
December bird, remember me?
December bird, remember me?
December bird, remember me?
December bird, remember me?
There’s no smolder when you’re older
There’s no smolder when you’re older
There’s no smolder when you’re older
There’s no smolder when you’re older

Verse 4
Too warm, don’t soar, crash in, collide
Restore, place your wings right by your side
Steer you from sun, don’t melt don’t come, shielded from storm

Outro
December bird, remember me?
December bird, remember me?

Virginia Beach-based alternative rock multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who, in his own words, exaggerates life experiences for the sake of turning them into songs.

He gained a fair amount of popularity on Twitch.tv singing covers while playing the guitar and piano. However, as of late, he has been less active on the platform and focusing and creating his own music.

His first two releases onto streaming platforms were covers of the songs, Shooting Stars and The Night We Met. In November 2021, he released his first original single Productive Deconstruction to all streaming platforms.

More of his covers can be found on Youtube and on Soundcloud
