Joseph A.A. - think ur funny

Copied!edit Lyrics

 V1
You think you’re funny when you go to Snapchat
Threaten to leak information you wish you had
You think it’s cool everything you put me through
I’ve started to think that’s what real friends do

PC
But now I know
You do this to everyone you know

C
You think you’re funny when you stab me in the back
Cut me open down the middle and take everything I have
But there’s one thing you should know before you try to exploit me
Your accusations are baseless and no one thinks your funny

V2
You think you’re funny when you get me on the phone
Try to get me to admit to lies your mom and you wrote
I think it’s funny how the karma came back
It took five years but I’m satisfied with that

PC
You should know
True friends don’t just use you for who you know

C
You think you’re funny when you give me sleepless nights
Convince me to believe I didn’t treat you right
But there’s one thing you should know before you run your mouth about me
Your propositions are pointless and no one thinks your funny

B
I now know
You were just a stepping stone
To the guy I needed to be
Roadblocks like you are ordinary

C
I think you’re funny when you try to be my friend
Expect me to believe what you did was pretend
But there’s one thing you should know before you ever mess with me
All the people who once were your friends don’t think you’re funny

Spoken
I just want you to know
You are not other people's definitions of you
You are going to meet people along the way, unfortunately, that are just toxic in your life
But stand up for yourself and don't let them say something that never happened
Be real
Be strong
Be empowering
Be you

Biography

edit bio
I have always loved to write and make music, and after looking up to so many of my favorite artists for so long, I decided to release my debut single, “seasons” on December 24, 2020. I wrote this song in under twenty minutes and ended up recording it in the same day.

While I loved working with that song, I knew exactly what I wanted my style to sound like for my sophomore single. I wanted an upbeat pop song that was completely unexpected and out of nowhere. I wrote “self reflection” with that mindset and kept that idea in the back of my mind.

I wanted “self reflection” to sound like the happier, continued version of “seasons” where the storyline character really found what they wanted and where they were going, and accepted the fact that there are two sides to a relationship, and it’s not one person’s obligation to take ownership for both people in that relationship.

I’m currently working on my debut album, and I cannot wait to share it with you as soon as I can!
