Penny & Sparrow - Season 4 Theme Song

I fall too much
My jaw got itself wired shut, mmm
I'm not at my best
Been too long on your defense, mmm

I know this town
Unlace its mouth
Your name's inside
Can't spit it out

Oh, I was a man from an old track
One where honor comes
Call me out soon
I can't control myself when it comes to you

Penny & Sparrow

Penny & Sparrow is an Americana/soft-folk duo based in Florence, Alabama. The band consists of singer/lyricist Andy Baxter and multi-instrumentalist Kyle Jahnke. Baxter and Jahnke initially began making music together while roommates at University of Texas in Austin, taking the name “Penny & Sparrow” from the title of a friend’s blog. Their music is intimate, quiet, introspective, and paired with deeply honest, profound, and poetic lyrics that strike the listener as being intensely personal. The duo also has a penchant for literary references and frequently share what they are reading, watching, and listening to.

Their often-weighty and melancholy music is sharply contrasted by the duo’s quick wit and banter. Frequently self-described as “not here for a bad time,” Penny & Sparrow comfortably fill their live performances with laughter and casual conversations with the audience.
