Jonathan Plevyak - Electric Eyes

Firefly baby, she's a bad habit
Skinny dipping in her moonlight magic
Always gotta be somebody's favorite
She's just keeping up with the times
Retro little doll, she's gone digital
Wants to be pixel perfect
Loved her until I lost it all
Now I miss her through the television

My girl's got electric eyes
And a vinyl soul
She's a dandelion high
Burnin neon glow
She's a dreamer, she's a star
She's riding off in a getaway car
Yeah my girl's got electric eyes
And a vinyl soul
Yeah I guеss that's why
She's never coming homе

Limelight lover, radio active
Glitch in my matrix, lost in the static
Always gotta be somebody's baby
Wish I didn't wish we she was mine
Arcade actress, cold side of my mattress
But I can still hear her flicker
Somewhere in the shimmering sadness
I wonder why I can't go with her
My girl's got electric eyes
And a vinyl soul
She's a dandelion high
Burnin neon glow
She's a dreamer, she's a star
She's riding off in a getaway car
Yeah my girl's got electric eyes
And a vinyl soul
Yeah I guess that's why
She's never coming home

Volt in the system
Sparks in her tears
Didn't stray far
But she never comes here
Off like a rocket
Galaxy queen
Out in the ether
Never searching for me

My girl's got electric eyes
And a vinyl soul
She's a dandelion high
Burnin neon glow
She's a dreamer, she's a star
She's riding off in a getaway car
My girls got electric eyes
And a vinyl soul
And I guess that's why
I gotta let her go

Jonathan Plevyak

Jonathan Plevyak is a retro minded rock & soul singer-songwriter living in Nashville, TN. Feeling burnt out by modern, fast paced digital pop culture, Plevyak started down a rabbit hole in late 2022 immersing himself in records and artists from the 50’s & 60’s. Pulling inspiration from the greats such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, & Billie Holiday, Plevyak wrote an entire record of songs that feel planted in that era. Plevyak assembled a crew of his talented friends in Nashville to make the record. Choosing to record the music live together in the same room, using vintage gear and microphones, the self produced album called “Made In The Shade” sounds like a vinyl record straight off the record store shelves in the 1950s . The first single “Wild, Love” will make it’s debut in February, 2023 followed by releasing a consistent stream of vintage music, delivering high energy live shows across Music City, as well as a retro soaked social media branding style to evoke a lost time.

Rooted in nostalgia, Plevyak’s music goal is to make you miss a time you never experienced.
