Ashnikko

Ashton Nicole Casey, known professionally as Ashnikko, was born on February 19, 1996, in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. Growing up in a conservative environment, her early exposure to music was limited to country and occasional Slipknot records. However, her creative nature and rebellious spirit led her to explore new musical genres and eventually pursue a career in music.

At the age of thirteen, Ashnikko's parents moved to eastern Europe, where she spent most of her teen years. It was during this time that she began to experiment with music, starting with a diss track about a classmate. Despite facing criticism and bullying for her musical pursuits, Ashnikko remained determined to carve out her own path in the industry.

Upon reaching adulthood, Ashnikko moved to London, where she embraced a wild party lifestyle and continued to develop her unique sound. In 2016, she uploaded her first song, "KROKODIL," to SoundCloud, marking the beginning of her musical career.

Since then, Ashnikko has released two solo EPs, Hi, It's Me and Unlikeable, as well as a collaborative EP, Sass Pancakes, with Raf Riley. Her music, which blends hip-hop with punky electro-pop, is known for its themes of sexuality and female empowerment. Influenced by feminist musicians like M.I.A., Björk, and Nicki Minaj, Ashnikko's bold and unapologetic lyrics have resonated with audiences around the world.

One of Ashnikko's most popular songs, "STUPID," featuring Yung Baby Tate, went viral on the lip-syncing app Tik Tok, propelling her onto the Billboard charts. The success of the song solidified Ashnikko's place in the music industry and further established her as a fierce advocate for women's empowerment.

Despite facing challenges and criticism along the way, Ashnikko remains true to herself and her unique style. In an interview with 1883 Magazine, she emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself and standing up for what you believe in, regardless of the obstacles you may face. Ashnikko's journey from a small town in North Carolina to the bustling music scene in London is a testament to her resilience, talent, and unwavering commitment to her art.
