Chorus
Yellow tape to my face
Slip and slide through your place
Do or die, that's always
It's alright, we okay
Up and away, way up x8

Verse 1
Flight path to you, right back to you
Heartache guru, up like Juju
She wear Lulu, doll no voodoo
Thought I knew you, found a new you
House with all the sloths
We don't hang with knocks
Penny for these thoughts
Don't know what you bought
You just with the flock
Used to never roll
Now I'm on a roll
Mini miny moe
Safe now
Only gotta jump when we break ground
Everyone a hero with their cape out
Show me how you fly on the way down

Chorus

Verse 2
We can't live if we all play dead now
Walk by and spin my head 'round
Old crush who is now with it
I fuck and feel no different
Miss no mark, go ahead miss you start
Look like art, but it got missing parts
Where's the car, near that row of stars
Row my boat, life is but a park

If this ever stops, give 'em all we got
Take out us the box, put us in the pot x2

Derek Pope is a musician who has taken the road less traveled in pursuit of his unique sound. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Pope discovered his passion for music at a young age. In high school, he delved into beat production, spending countless hours perfecting his craft and laying the foundation for what would become his signature sound.

It wasn't until 2015 that Pope decided to experiment with singing, a decision that would ultimately lead him to redefine his musical style. After creating a few demos, Pope realized that he had stumbled upon something special. His lyrics, particularly the line "Looking at the ceiling, thinking I could make a million," resonated with listeners and set the stage for what was to come.

In 2015, Pope released his debut EP, Sunken City Redux, which featured the hit single "Raincoats." The track showcased Pope's ability to seamlessly blend elements of indie rock, pop, and trap, creating a sound that was uniquely his own. With his self-produced beats and introspective lyrics, Pope has managed to carve out a niche for himself in the music industry, pushing the boundaries of what is considered mainstream.

Derek Pope's music is a reflection of his journey as an artist, constantly evolving and challenging the status quo. With each new release, he continues to push the envelope and defy expectations, solidifying his place as a rising star in the music world.
