Kindred Valley - Crossroads

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1282781
Verse 1
I was walkin’ at a Crossroads
When the Devil came my way
He said I just came in from Georgia
How’d you like to make a deal today?
I said, slow your roll, what can you do for me?
Cause from all the stories I’ve been told
You’ve got a bad history

Verse 2
He said son forget what you’ve heard
And tell me what you want
Cause in an instant it will appear
There’s only one condition

Chorus
He said you’ll never grow old
Fame and fortune can find you today
And all I need is your soul
Here’s a pen and a paper sign away
And lean closer

Verse 3
Boy listen here, are you surе you understand?
Cause once I’m gonе you’re done
You only get one chance
There’s no refunds no returns
You can pay me in advance
Oh just trust me son I have got a plan

Chorus
He said you’ll never grow old
Fame and fortune can find you today
And all I need is your soul
Here’s a pen and a paper sign away

Verse 4
Before he left
He turned around and made his final plea
Let me ask you one question boy
What happened to your dream?
Do I trade my soul for fortune and fame?
It’s a deal too good to be true
I know I should walk away

Chorus
And then I saw that grin
When I begged him oh please sir don’t go
And I just couldn’t say no
Here’s the pen, here’s the paper
Take my soul
And now I’m dead in the ground
And I have nothin’
Nothin’
Not even my soul
