Intro
Oooh Ooooh
Mmhm mmhm
Dibi dibi da da doo doo dun day
I just wanna be your lady
Dibi dibi da da doo doo dun day
Your everything

Verse 1
I been talking to you
For a while (that's right)
Been talking with you
(Til the morning light)

Dont wanna be with you
(Till The feelings right)
Cuz you bring butterflies

That keep me up till
(Till the morning light)
Thinking bout me and you
(what could go right)

Cuz I been looking for love
And they only want one night

Chorus
Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Maybe baby baby I could be your lady
Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Just you, Just you

Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Maybe baby baby I could be your lady
Talk to me baby (talk to me babe)
Just you, Just you

Verse 2
I ain't gonna act
Like I only need
You in my life
Cuz I ain't desperate boy (no no)

And can't live without a guy
But you seem different
I can see it
In your eyes

So keep on trying
Maybe we could be together
For a lifetime

Refrain
So come and stop by
Tell me bout your life
Cuz I'm curious boy
Bout who you really are
Deep down inside

I feel like you're heaven sent
But i gotta be patient
Gotta hold my breath (count to ten)
To see if you're worth it
(if you're worth it)

Bridge
Listen sit tight
Let’s see if its right (yeah)
If we are meant to be
Then we don't gotta fight

For something that was already
Aligned
I don't wanna rush love
If everything's gonna be alright

Chorus
Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Maybe baby baby I could be your lady
Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Just you, Just you (na na na na na na)

Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Maybe baby baby I could be your lady
Talk to me baby (talk to me babe)
Just you, Just you

Verse 3
Every single thing
Builds this relationship
Trust, patience, love, faith
Everything

And I can’t begin to think
How we’re gonna make it
If you’re hasty
And wanna rush everything

Refrain
So come and stop by
Tell me bout your life
Cuz I'm curious boy
Bout who you really are
Deep down inside

I feel like you’re heaven sent
But i gotta be patient
Gotta hold my breath (Count to ten)
To see if you're worth it (If you’re worth it)

Chorus
Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Maybe baby baby I could be your lady
Talk to me baby (talk to me baby)
Just you, Just you

Talk to me (talk to me baby)
Maybe baby baby I could be your lady
Talk to me baby (talk to me babe)
Just you, Just you

Outro
It don't matter what they think
It don't bother me
Cuz I don't live for them
I live for me

All my love baby
Walking through the streets
Not listening to a thing
They been saying

So talk to me baby
Oooh talk to me baby
Talk to me baby
I know you want me to be your lady

So talk to me baby
Ooh talk to me baby
Talk to me baby
I could be your everything

Biography

edit bio
Born to an Afro Jamaican father who once played bass in a reggae band and a Chinese Jamaican mother, Layla Rhule is a multifaceted artist who is able to blend elements of internationally renowned Jamaican genres like Reggae and Rocksteady with haunting piano melodies. Born and raised in the capital of Jamaica, Kingston, Layla is a classically trained pianist. She became interested in playing the piano upon seeing the instrument onstage as a child in devotions at elementary school and becoming fascinated with the R&B and soul music she heard on the radio as a young child. Her interest in piano was further solidified upon hearing Alicia Keys’ Fallin’ for the first time when she was 7 years old. She has intentionally set out to become an artiste that crafts songs with meaningful and powerful lyrics. Armed with a desire to carry on the strong tradition of classic Reggae songs with deep meanings and the sensibilities of a classically trained musician, she brings a sound rarely ventured by many Jamaican artists; a crossover version of reggae and dancehall that incorporates elements of other genres both like R&B, Pop, Latin music, Soca, Hip Hop and Classical Music. She invites you to take this journey with her.
