He used to dream of vengeance and buying up Benz's
Until he found some glasses and saw through the lenses
He looked at the liquor and the label said dependence
He looked at the flag it said kill who's against us
He looked at the news and he saw obey
He looked at the magazines and saw cliches
He looked at the map and he just saw scars
He looked at the borders and he just saw bars
He looked at politicians and saw xenophobia
He looked at the city and he saw dystopia
He looked at the ocean and he just saw plastic
He looked at the glacier and he just saw panic
He looked at his gun and he just saw violence
He looked at his heroes and just heard silence
He looked at his phone and just saw coltan
He looked at the US and just saw stolen
He looked at babies and he just saw workers
He looked at presidents and couldn't find purpose
He looked at schools and he saw control
They prepare you for a boss or throw you in a hole
They put you in the army or put you in a cell
He looked at a pharmacy and saw cartel
He looked at a car and he just saw oil
He looked at a globe and it started to boil
He looked at a farm and saw pesticides
He saw migrants being treated unjustified
He looked at his computer and just saw cobalt
He saw kids in a mine and misery snowball
He looked at his big mac and saw a heart attack
He looked at compassion and saw an artifact
He looked at a pill and he saw control
He saw a brave new world and soma in his skull
He looked at water and he just saw lead
He looked at his smile and just saw dread
He looked at money and it spelled out god
He looked at a clock and he another saw a cop
He looked at jewelry he saw blood diamonds
He looked at meat and he felt his gut tighten
He saw slaughterhouses, the torture, the blood
He saw eggs and grinders, the milk and the puss
He looked at cigarettes and saw cancer patients
He looked at the internet and saw surveillance
He looked at sports and saw nationalism
He looked at art and only saw competition
He looked at a billboard it said consume
He looked at the future and just saw doom
He looked in the mirror and he saw the truth
He said we're all connected, me and you

edit bio
Time was a rock band from Yugoslavia that made a significant impact on the music scene in the 1970s. Formed in 1971 by Dado Topić, who had previously been a member of Korni Grupa, the band quickly gained a following with their unique blend of progressive rock and jazz influences.

The original lineup of Time included Dado Topić on vocals, Tihomir “Pop” Asanović on organ, Vedran Božić on guitar, Mario Mavrin on bass, Ratko Divjak on drums, and Brane Lambert Živković on piano and flute. Over the years, the lineup changed frequently, but the core members remained dedicated to creating innovative and captivating music.

Time released three albums during their time together, each showcasing their musical versatility and talent. Their first album featured a prominent Hammond organ, piano, and flute, while their second album had a harder sound with several ballads. The third album introduced a jazz-funk production style, further expanding their musical repertoire.

Some of Time's most popular songs include “Da li znaš da te volim”, “Rock ‘n’ roll u Beogradu”, and “Istina mašina”, which showcased their ability to create memorable and engaging music that resonated with audiences.

After disbanding in late 1977, Dado Topić embarked on a successful solo career, but the legacy of Time continued to live on. In 1998 and 2001, the band reunited for a limited number of live concerts, delighting fans with their timeless music and energetic performances.

Today, Time still plays together as a rock trio, continuing to captivate audiences with their unique sound and enduring musical legacy. Their influence can be heard in the work of many contemporary artists, solidifying their place in the history of Yugoslavian rock music.
