LL Cool J - Big Ole Butt

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/536216
verse 1
I was at the mall, sipping on a milkshake
Playing the wall, taking a break
Admiring the girls with the bamboo earrings
Baby hair and body's built to swing
That's when i seen her, her name was tina
Grace and poise kinda like a ballerina
I said, how you doing? my name's big l
Don't ask me how i'm living, 'cause yo, i'm living swell
But then again i'm living kind of foul
'cause my girl don't know that i'm out on the prowl
To make a long story short, i got the digits
Called her on my car phone and paid her a visit
I was spanking her and thanking her, chewin' her and doin' her
Laughin' because my girl didn’t know that i was screwin' her (ah)
Laying like a king on sheets of satin
That's what time it is, you know what's happening
She had a big ole booty, i was doing my duty
I mean yo, i admit that my girl's a cutie
But tina was exotic, earl's my witness
With the kind of legs that put stockings out of business
When i went home, i kissed my girl on the cheek
But in the back of my mind it was this big butt freak
I sat my girl down, i couldn't hold it in
And said to her with a devilish grin

chorus
Tina got a big ole butt, i know i told you i'd be true
But tina got a big ole butt, so i'm leaving you
Tina got a big ole butt, i know i told you i'd be true
But tina got a big ole butt, so i'm leaving you

verse 2
I went to the high school about three o'clock
To try to catch a cutie riding my jock
My homeboy's jeep, the system blasting
Cold forty dogs, smiling and laughing
Girls all over, the kind i adore
I felt like a kid in a candy store
That's when i seen her, her name was brenda
She had the kind of booty that i'd always remember
I said to my man, stop the jeep
She's only seventeen but yo don't sleep
I kicked the bass like an nfl punter
And scoped the booty like a big game hunter
I said to the girl, "yo, you look tired
Let's go get some rest, relax by the fire"
I put the big booty on a bearskin rug
She gave me a kiss, i gave her a hug
I said to the girl, them young boys ain't nothing
You want to get freaky, let me kiss your belly button
I circled it and teased it and made her squeal
Grabbed a pack of bullets and pulled out the steel
When i was through, i wiped the sweat from my eyes
Went to the kitchen and got some sweet potato pies
Tina busted in my house while i was eating
You know what i said
"too bad you caught me cheating but"

chorus
Brenda got a big ole butt, i know i told you i'd be true
But brenda got a big ole butt, so i'm leaving you
Brenda got a big ole butt, i know i told you i'd be true
But brenda got a big ole butt, huh, so i'm leaving you

verse 3
I went to red lobster for shrimp and steak
Around the time when the waitresses are on their lunch break
I pulled in the parking lot and parked my car
Somebody shouted out, "i don't care who you are"
I paid it no attention, i walked inside
Because brian had a nine and he was chillin' in the ride
I walked in the place, everybody was looking
And shrimp and steak wasn't the only thing cooking
I sat down to eat, ordered my food
I said to the waitress, "i don't mean to be rude
But i'll take you on a platter"
She said, "you got a girl," i said, "it don't matter
You look like you're tastier than a piping hot pizza
What's your name?," she said, "my tag says lisa"
I said, "okay, you're smart and all that
But when you get off work, yo, i'll be back"
She looked at me and said, "make yourself clear
L, where we going?" i said, "right here"
She looked kind of puzzled, i said, "you'll see"
I pulled up at ten on the d-o-t
When she walked out the door, i threw my tongue down her throat
Pushed her back inside and pulled off her coat
Laid her on the table and placed my order
And gave her a tip much bigger than a quarter
On and on to the break'a dawn
All over the restaurant, word is bond
I heard somebody coughing, i checked my watch
I couldn't believe it said nine o'clock
I grabbed my pants, put on my kangol
Who did i see? oh, yo, it was brenda
Ha, yo, she worked at red lobster but i didn't remember

chorus
Lisa got a big ole butt, i know i told you i'd be true
But lisa got a big ole butt, so i'm leaving you - see ya, ha
Lisa got a big ole butt, ha, i know i told you i'd be true, ha
But lisa got a big ole butt, ha, so i'm leaving you - see ya

outro
Ooh wee, ayo, ayo, b, check out that butt, man
You know i gotta get nitro and step to that butt, man
That butt is ill
Now, check this out, yo, give her a ticket, man
Give her a ticket to the show so she can come see show
You know what i'm sayin', the nitro tour
That butt is too big to be roaming around when we on stage
(backstage) backstage, come backstage, baby
Come backstage

Biography

edit bio
Deriving his name from the statement “Ladies Love Cool James,” LL Cool J became a superstar rapper after his Def Jam debut in 1984. He mixed a hardcore hip-hop style from songs like “I’m Bad” with R&B style on songs like “I Need Love,” which led him to multi-platinum success and several awards. He would later venture into movies and television, write several books, and start different business ventures.

Born January 14, 1968, Queens, New York native James Todd Smith began rapping at the age of nine and started to seriously pursue rapping when he was 16 years old after his grandfather bought him music equipment, which he used to create a demo tape that was sent to numerous labels. He was signed by upstart independent label Def Jam, working with founders Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin to release his debut single “I Need a Beat” in 1984, which sold over 100,000 copies. This success helped Def Jam secure a distribution deal with Columbia Records.

LL released his debut album Radio in 1985, which achieved platinum status with help from the hit singles “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” and “Rock the Bells.” After working exclusively with Rick Rubin on his debut, LL worked with the West Coast production crew L.A. Posse on his second album Bigger and Deffer, released in 1987. The album featured two of LL’s signature songs: the hard-edged “I’m Bad” and the “rap ballad” “I Need Love,” which was a Top 20 pop hit, helping the album achieve double platinum status.

His third album, 1989’s Walking with a Panther, was another platinum hit, featuring the singles “Going Back to Cali,” “Big Ole Butt,” “I’m That Type of Guy,” and “Jingling Baby.” LL came right back a year later with the Marley Marl-produced Mama Said Knock You Out, a double platinum success featuring “The Boomin' System,” the Top 10 pop hit “Around the Way Girl,” and the explosive title track, which won LL a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1991.

While his 1993 album 14 Shots to the Dome didn’t make much noise, his 1995 follow-up Mr. Smith brought LL back to double platinum success with the hits “Doin' It,” “Loungin' (Who Do Ya Luv Remix),” and the lead single “Hey Lover” with Boyz II Men, which won LL another Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1996. LL went on to release several albums, including his All World: Greatest Hits collection in 1996.

In 2000, LL titled his album G.O.A.T., proclaiming himself the Greatest Of All Time in the rap game. LL’s braggadocios bravado had him involved in several beefs throughout his career. His first major beef came against Kool Moe Dee, with Moe Dee’s main attack coming from “How Ya Like Me Now” in 1987 and LL responding with “Jack the Ripper.” LL then responded to jabs from Moe Dee, Ice-T and MC Hammer in 1990 on “To Da Break of Dawn.” In 1997, LL had a misunderstanding with Canibus over one of his lines on LL’s “4, 3, 2, 1,” causing Canibus to be removed from the song and LL changing his verse to subliminally diss Canibus. This led to Canibus dissing LL on “Second Round K.O.” and LL responding with “The Ripper Strikes Back.”

LL made his acting debut in the 1985 movie Krush Groove and would later star in several films such as Deep Blue Sea, In Too Deep, and Any Given Sunday among others. From 1995-99, LL starred in his own NBC sitcom, In the House, starred in the CBS drama NCIS: Los Angeles for ten seasons from 2009-19, and he is the host of the karaoke competition Lip Sync Battle. He released his autobiography I Make My Own Rules in 1998, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016, and in 2017, he became the first rapper to be a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors.
