Ian Santillano - Sixfour

Verse 1
I don’t want to be here anymore
Stress inducing pain I’m feeling
Wrapped around like scarfs in summer
Is my life really that much harder
(Ooh)

I still live with you I’m 24
Parasite you’ve got me reeling
Paralyzing movement suffers
Is my life really that much harder
Chorus 1: Ian Santillano and Shan Dae
I am bigger than sixfour
I am stronger worth so much more
I am better than before
Find a way to make my name I am
I am bigger than sixfour
I am stronger worth so much more
I am better than before
Find a way to make my name

(Instrumental break)

Verse 2: Shan Dae
I don't want to feel you anymore
Thе worst of it is draining and pulling
I don't want to feel this broken core no more
Thеre's nothing left to break
So, it’s now or never never felt this weight before
(My my my my my mind is all over)

My mind’s a ticking bomb thats ‘bout to blow
My will is playing games it tugs a rope
But instead I’m losing
I’m fine and dandy l say I suppose there’s a
Toll on me and my youth you imposed
But I'm slowly beating
Demons chasing beacon
Of light that is me
I’m a force I’m a leader of positive energy
I go I know
I’m strong and worthy
Chorus 2: Ian Santillano and Shan Dae
I am bigger than sixfour
I am stronger worth so much more
I am better than before
Find a way to make my name I am
I am bigger than sixfour
(Ah)

Ian Santillano

From Hayward, California, multi-instrumentalist Ian Santillano started teaching himself how to play a real guitar after years of playing Guitar Hero. Soon after, Ian’s cousin introduced him to John Mayer’s “Continuum” and Ian’s life changed forever. Discovering D'Angelo’s “Voodoo” and later Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp A Butterfly” along with all the musicians involved in making those records would play a huge role in shaping Ian’s melodic-funky-soulful sound. In college, Ian would sharpen his music skills through hours of practice and private lessons in the Santa Clara University music program, learning jazz and music theory – all whilst getting a degree in computer engineering. Now at 24, Ian explores his own artistry by writing, arranging, producing, and recording original music with his guitars, his instruments, and his voice. Lush pads, funky drums, dreamy vocals, and aggressive guitar solos become a bed for Ian to lyricise his message of honesty and self experience – whether it be about love, indecision, or admitting one’s faults. Ian has a sound all his own: “Greasy Mayer” – melodic funky soul singer-songwriter with a touch of jazz vocabulary.
