Verse 1: Queen Drie
Slick back weave with the Fazos on
Fulani braids with an Afro tongue
5-star bitch when the cameras gone
But he can't stay gone he'll be back in the morning
I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings
If I'm in the club then I buy the whole drank
Never need a man for a motherfucking thing
Only hit his line when I'm feeling lonely
Real bitches up

Chorus
Woman
We try not to let it show
We try not to let them know
But girls make the world go round
Girls run the whole damn town now
We try not to let it show
We try not to let them know
But girls make the world go round
Girls run thе whole damn town now

Verse 2
Steady criticizing steady undеrmining
But I swear what they saying ion hear it
Tried to put me in they box
But I'm seaside shaking body moving body with no caring
I work a nine to five with a hustle on the side
Just to keep my hair did
This kind woman do what she like
She like bad gyal Riri
Chorus
Woman
We try not to let it show
We try not to let them know
But girls make the world go round
Girls run the whole damn town now

Poetry Break: Queen Drie
When I was a little girl
I dreamt dreams of being a woman
I'd ran as wild as the wind
I'd speak my mind and speak it often
Refuse to be misused abused forgotten
Respected admired bold
Always

Chorus
Woman
We try not to let it show
We try not to let them know
But girls make the world go round
Girls run the whole damn town now
We try not to let it show
We try not to let them know
But girls make the world go round
Girls run the whole damn town now

Queen Drie

Queen Drie, a relatively new Hip Hop and Rap artist, started creating music to contribute positively to art and black culture. Her songwriting and performing goal is to motivate and educate people about what it means to be Black and help alter their lives for the better.
Despite having such a set goal, Queen Drie’s music is made for everyone. This is why she self-categorizes it in a genre called “World.” As an artist who was born in Accra, Ghana, and now lives in Chicago, she knows a thing or two about different experiences, and her music reflects that.

Drie’s tracks are calm and refreshing, maintaining a vibe that’spositive yet punchy. Her fans love the sound of her arrangements while also the weight of her lyrics. The fact that there are so many people out there who love Rap with poignant lyrics motivates her to continue writing about real-world experiences.

Drie’s fans can get a taste of what her music’s all about through her song, Homosapien. This song explores and questions the human condition and experience in fresh ways while giving a beat to groove to.
Despite being new in the industry, this artist has performed live at the Summer Jam, hosted by 2wo Offishall, and “A Night with Pablozy,” held by the Nigerian artist Pablozy. While she’seager to get back on stage again, Drie’s currently focusing on developing her craft by exploring new and exciting sounds.
