Moon Walker - Regular People

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/1925353
Verse 1
The children never talk
We finally shut them up
Always talking over those they only should obey
They can't leave home too soon
We locked them up in their room
So they can think it over every time they misbehave

Chorus
But something shouldn't have to change
It's how we both were raised
It's how regular people were made
We might be all the same
But you'll be better off this way
Aah

Verse 2
The children think too much
They hardly have fear of god
Always asking questions they should only wish away
Sundays every week
With father Montgomery
As if God don't know that they can hardly stay awake

Chorus
But everybody has to pay
It's how we both were raised
It's how regular people were made
We might be all the same
But you'll be better off this way

Bridge
I'm dying to meet you
As I really am
But trying to please you
This fucks with my head
I've waited my whole life
To welcome you here
You don't want to lie down
But you ❲?❳

Solo

Chorus
Something's gonna have to change
It's how we both were raised
It's how regular people were made
We might be all the same
But you'll be better off this way
Aah

Outro
The children never call
How quick they cut us off
Guess that's 20 years we should've never gave away
People shouldn't have to change

Biography

edit bio
Using a string of eclectic, yet similarly electrifying singles as their fuel, Moon Walker crashed onto the earth like a space age rocket. The duo’s undeniable energy and inimitable musical chemistry is the result of over half a decade of playing shows and self-releasing music together.

Taking cues from such legends as Bowie, Talking Heads and Led Zeppelin, singer/guitarist Harry Springer and drummer Sean McCarthy have created a fusion of explosive drum grooves and thrashing guitar riffs that is all their own. While listeners might hear traces of glam rock, post punk, or even kraut rock echoing through debut record (coming soon), one would be left scratching their head for weeks if they sought to limit Moon Walker’s vast soundscape to one genre. With bold, timely lyrics that confront such issues as economic inequality, media sensationalism and social responsibility, Moon Walker has made it clear that they will never shy away from shouting what they believe in. So, listen up, because Moon Walker has a lot to say and they aren’t going anywhere.
