True North - I Dragged Us In

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/2020565
Verse 1
I’ve got a razorblade on my tongue
But when you get cut on the roof of your mouth
You spit me out and run

Pre-Chorus
‘Cause lying in my bed was fogging up the lens
And you don’t know what’s real anymore
Every word we said replaying in your head
The truth followed you out the door

Chorus
My nerves shatter
Our wounds heal in reverse
Cause my words don’t work
If I don’t know what they’re worth
‘Cause we’re in too deep
I dragged us in too deep
I dragged us in

Verse 2
Swept like an avalanche
The slightest push is all it takes
I refusеd to see, ‘til we were buriеd beneath
Clawing at the roof of our grave

Pre-Chorus
‘Cause lying in your bed was fogging up the lens
And I don’t know what’s real anymore
Every word we said is replaying in my head
The truth followed you out the door

Chorus
My nerves shatter
Our wounds heal in reverse
Cause my words don’t work
If I don’t know what they’re worth
‘Cause we’re in too deep
I dragged us in too deep
I dragged us in
