True North - Tearing at the Seams

Copied!edit Lyrics
original text at lyrnow.com/237524
Have you ever had way too much to think
Their dirtiest secrets, familiar feelings
But it was never enough to speak out
So now you breathe heavy
The air is so thick
It spreads to every room
Covering the walls inside this tomb
Watch the words take shape

What's behind these pretty pictures that scatter the walls
Dark red marks on his right fist

Cause now we’re tearing at the seams
Too far beyond my reach
You never gave us what we need
You can't when you don't believe
Speaking up for what we see
Done playing it off, done feeding the wolves
When everything’s broken it's time to leave

(Take my silence as a message)

Every little thing goes back to the way it was
I think I need a little bit of time to fester
Cause every single time I come back to the place that I've been
I'm reminded of why I left

Cause now we're tearing at the seams
Too far beyond my reach
You never gave us what we need
You can't when you don't believe
Speaking up for what we see
Done playing it off, done feeding the wolves
When everything's broken it’s time to leave

Sleeping on the floor
I could hear every footstep
Struggling to make their beds so they could lie awake at night
Trying to forget every moment they could
Til there was nothing left for them to look back at

Cause now we’re tearing at the seams
Too far beyond my reach
You never gave us what we need
You can't when you don’t believe
Speaking up for what we see
Done playing it off, done feeding the wolves
When everything's broken it's time to leave

True North is an alternative-rock band formed in 2016. Their current line up consists of Joel Ferber, Tim Beken, Sean Hansen, Morgan Kibler, and Michael Cisterna. Drawing inspiration from mid-2000’s scene rock as well as modern pop music, the band continues to create nostalgic yet modern-day music that is sure to make waves in the rock music scene. The band invokes intense emotion from their listeners by seamlessly transitioning haunting and atmospheric verses into powerful, yet perfectly syncopated choruses. Their dark and edgy, yet sleek branding ties it all together, and is quickly helping them gain traction on their most recent releases.
