Joseph A.A. - london fog

V1
I visited New York City once
Thought I’d really gravitate to there
Started out strumming on the streets
Barely made it through in Times Square

PC
That’s when our pawns started moving all around the board
A devine intervention left unmoored
That’s when I knew that I wanted something more
Wanted to wake up with the London fog outside my door

C
Ooh
See the building silhouettes
See the floodgates crumble down
Peering over the Tower Bridge
Ooh
Just basking in the rays
Of thе days when you were oncе mine
Now the London fog rolls in

V2
We were once the talk of this whole ghost town
Till they thought that we were faking
Then they burned us to the ground
But the tabloids and the magazines never compete
Like a picture of a sunset
Half the beauty’s what you see

PC
That’s when our pawns started moving all around the board
We were partners in all crime
Robbing banks and looting stores
That’s when one thing led to something more
Now I wake up with the London fog outside my door

C
Ooh
Sunflowers on your dress
See the sun bathe on your skin
Peering over the Tower Bridge
Ooh
Just basking in the rays
Of the days when you were once mine
Now the London fog rolls in

Ooh
You think we’re Bonnie and Clyde
Ooh
But you’ll be drowning in the night
Now we ride off in the sunset like a Californian film
You still think that we’re partners in crime
Till the London fog rolls in

Biography

edit bio
I have always loved to write and make music, and after looking up to so many of my favorite artists for so long, I decided to release my debut single, “seasons” on December 24, 2020. I wrote this song in under twenty minutes and ended up recording it in the same day.

While I loved working with that song, I knew exactly what I wanted my style to sound like for my sophomore single. I wanted an upbeat pop song that was completely unexpected and out of nowhere. I wrote “self reflection” with that mindset and kept that idea in the back of my mind.

I wanted “self reflection” to sound like the happier, continued version of “seasons” where the storyline character really found what they wanted and where they were going, and accepted the fact that there are two sides to a relationship, and it’s not one person’s obligation to take ownership for both people in that relationship.

I’m currently working on my debut album, and I cannot wait to share it with you as soon as I can!
