Joseph A.A. - celestial
Put the records in the case that I left when I drove away
Love’s a losing battle is all they’d tell you anyway
They always said to tell the truth, but the truth never sought you out
★ C ★
Love’s a little game, you win some, but you lose most
Love’s the worst pain when you’re treated like a ghost
But our love from the start, never had much potential
No more, our love’s not celestial
Anymore
★ V2 ★
I took the CD out of my car that used to be our song
Shred it out the window and just try to move on
They always said to be the best, but the best never sought me out
★ C ★
Love’s a little trial, sometimes you are in the favor
Love’s the worst pain when it cuts you like a razor
But our love from the start, never had much potential
No more, our love’s not celestial
Anymore
★ B ★
Do you think of me after all these years and what we would’ve been? Did you think the wind would take me like a leaf?
Did you think if you left me your problems, they’d fade away?
But you should never leave behind what you’ll always need
Clearly that thing was was never me
★ C ★
Love’s a little flame, it’ll burn out as we die
Love’s the worst pain when it stabs like a knife
But our love from the start, never had much potential
No more, our love’s not celestial
Anymore

Biography
While I loved working with that song, I knew exactly what I wanted my style to sound like for my sophomore single. I wanted an upbeat pop song that was completely unexpected and out of nowhere. I wrote “self reflection” with that mindset and kept that idea in the back of my mind.
I wanted “self reflection” to sound like the happier, continued version of “seasons” where the storyline character really found what they wanted and where they were going, and accepted the fact that there are two sides to a relationship, and it’s not one person’s obligation to take ownership for both people in that relationship.
I’m currently working on my debut album, and I cannot wait to share it with you as soon as I can!
